6.4.1. Gate/NOM settings
Step 1. To enable gate settings, check the "GATE" checkbox for each channel desired.
Step 2. Select gate parameters from the pull-down menu.
• Gate input sensitivity: –40 to –5 dB, in 5 dB units
• Gate reset time: 1 - 8 seconds
Step 3. Check the "NOM" checkbox for channels for which the NOM setting is desired.
Step 4. Set the NOM attenuation for all enabled channels.
It is possible to find setting value A using the following equation, assuming that N represents the
number of open microphones:
NOM attenuation = A x log10N
Notes
• The NOM attenuation and gate reset time are not set on an individual channel basis, but are jointly set for all
channels. Therefore, if a value is changed on the pull-down menu of any channel, the values of all enabled
channels are also changed in synchronization.
