44 Special Effects Playback

Before trying the features on this page, make sure the DVD/VCR
is in VCR mode.
• Before you begin, place the DVD/VCR in VCR mode. Press the
DVD/VCR OUTPUT button so that the green VCR light appears
on the front of the DVD/VCR. Press theVCR/TV button so that
theVCR/TV light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR.
Forward and Reverse Searching (SP/LP/SLP)
During tape playback, press and release the F.FWD button
or the REW(ind) button. A fast forward or reverse picture
search will begin.

To return to playback, press the PLAY button.
Super High Speed Searching (LP/SLP)
During tape playback, press the F.FWD button or the
REW(ind) button, then press again. The DVD/VCR will now
search in super high speed.

To return to normal playback, press the PLAY button.

During tape playback, press the PAUSE button. A still pic­
ture will appear on the screen. ■

To release the still picture and return to playback, press
the PLAY button or press the PAUSE button again.
Viewing a Slow Motion Picture

During tape playback, press the SLOW button. The tape
will play in slow motion.

To release Slow mode and return to normal playback,
press the PLAY button or press the SLOW button again.
Helpful Hints
Slow and Still modes will automati­
cally switch to Stop mode after five
minutes to protect the DVD/VCR
and the tape from damage.
SP/LP/SLP means this feature will
work with tapes recorded in
Standard Play, Long Play, or Super
Long Play.
LP/SLP means this feature will
work with tapes recorded in Long
Play or Super Long Play. For details
about tape speed, see pages 38
and 30.
