navigator, connect it to the PC with the
USB cable provided in the box and. Be
sure that the navigator is detected by the
application. If the device should not be
detected disconnect it and try to connect
it again.
3. Click on the Transfer License to Geosat
button.
Now the SD if fully recovered and ready to
be used.
13.3 Reset
The Reset operation can be carried out if the
software is blocked and it is not possible to
switch off the navigator in any other way.
Insert a pointy object in the reset hole that is
positioned in the back of the navigator (in its
centre, the device will turn off. At this point
it will be possible to power on the navigator
and restart the software.
For this operation you will need a USB SD
memory card reader (If your PC is not
equipped with a memory card reader).
1. Take the SD out of the navigator and insert
it into the memory card reader.
2. Format the memory card
3. Insert the formatted SD inside navigator.
4. Insert the recovery DVD in the proper
DVD Rom Launch the Goosed application
contained in the DVD reader
5. Without feeding nor powering on navigator,
connect it to the PC with the USB cable
provided in the box and. Be sure that
navigator is detected by the application.
If the device should not be detected
disconnect it and try to connect it again.
6. Select the map, the software and the audio
files to be loaded on the SD and click on
the Transfer to Geosat button.
At this point, the data have been restored on
the SD, but to use the navigator you need to
get the User License from AvMap.
In order to obtain the Licence you need
contact AvMap customer support writing to
[email protected] , or calling the Call centre
at +39 0585 784044 or through the www.
avmap.it web site and communicate the SD
ID and the card code.
In order to know your SD ID:
1. Switch on the navigator and press the
MENU button twice to open the Main
Menu.
2. Select with the cursor ABOUT and press
+ to confirm. In the About Page read the
code written next to SD ID.
To know your card code:
1. Extract the SD from the navigator
2. Read the first alphanumeric code printed
on the SD label: TEUQxxxx
At this point AvMap customer support will
send you the license-file via email.
Once you have received the License file, use
the Geosend application to transfer the file to
the navigator.
1. Insert the recovery DVD in the proper
DVD Rom reader. Launch the Geosend
application contained in the DVD.
