Adjust the angle of the SL-M Series. Tighten all hexagonal socket bolts securely after finished adjusting the beam axes (use a
tightening torque of 6.8 N·m).
The point where the marks on both Bracket A and Bracket B align indicates the approximate position to use when mounting the SL-M
at a 45° angle.
8
Tighten all hexagonal socket bolts securely in place (use a tightening torque of 6.8 N·m).
Use all of the included mounting brackets and secure them in place at the positions specified in the dimensional drawings.
9
Confirm the installation in accordance with the “Checklist” section of the GL/SL Series Instruction Manual, with the exception that the
procedure used for moving the test piece must be as indicated below.
See also step 3 under “Precautions for Installation” on page 3..
10
Perform periodic inspections as described in the “Checklist” section of the GL/SL Series Instruction Manual, with the exception that
the procedure used for moving the test piece must be as indicated in the diagram for step 9 above.
If there is any dirt on the SL-M Series mirror surface, wipe it away gently with a soft cloth that has been moistened with either water or
a neutral detergent. After cleaning the mirror surface, dry it with a soft cloth, taking care not to leave any moisture or detergent on the
SL-M Series.
If any dirt has accumulated on the SL-M Series mirror surface, the surface may reflect the beam irregularly, so that the light curtain
system can not maintain the detection capability of the GL/SL Series. It is therefore essential to wipe away any accumulated dirt
from the mirror surface of SL-M Series. Failure to follow this warning may result in significant harm to machine operators, including
serious injury or death.
