2.5 Electrical Safety
2.5.1 General
x Press the STOP button: the cutting mill will slow down and
stop.
x Set the main switch (19) on the back side of the cutting mill to
0 (OFF) if the instrument will not be operated for an extended
period (e.g. over night).
2.5.2 Protection against Restarting
In the event of a mains failure during operation or after the
machine has been switched off with the main switch (19), the
cover flap (6) will remain locked. When the mains voltage is
restored, the lock of the hood will open. For safety reasons,
however, the cutting mill will not start again.
2.5.3 Direction of Rotation Detection
In machines with a three-phase a.c. motor, a direction of rotation
detection system is fitted:
If the STOP button lights up red after connection to a three-
phase power supply and switching of the main switch (19) to I
(ON), the direction of rotation must be corrected. This requires
that two phases be swapped in the connection plug. See chapter
3.6.
2.5.4 Overload Protection
x In the event of overloading, a motor current protection switch
will switch off. See chapter 4.4. The STOP button will shine
red.
