1.4 Brief Description of the Instrument
1.4.1 Applications
The cutting mill can be used for rapid comminution of medium-
hard, brittle, tough and fibrous materials such as:
sheet rubber, plastics, metal-free waste, dried meat, dried meat,
leather, wood, coal, malt, paper/cardboard, peat, animal fodder,
pasta, tablets, leaves, pellets, spices, fabric, straw, maize, bones,
roots, tobacco ...
1.4.2 Method of Operation
The material is fed via a feed funnel (1,22) into the cutting
chamber. There the material is cut by rotating knives (3) in
cooperation with fixed knives (4,5,9). The fine material falls
through a sieve cassette (7) into a collecting basin (8).
1.4.3 Drive Motor
The p-25 is driven by a three-phase a.c. gear motor with no
mechanical brake.
