Connecting Cables
To connect network and console cables to your GSS 4490, follow these steps.
1.
For network connections, insert a Category 5 UTP cable into the Ethernet 0
or Ethernet 1 receptacle on the GSS 4490 back panel (

Connect the other end of the network cable to a hub or switch in your
network.
3.
For console connections, plug the cable into the console port on the
GSS 4490 back panel.
4.
Connect the other end of the console cable to a console or a
communications server.
