Warning Only trained and qualified personnel should be allowed to install, replace, or
service this equipment.
This guide is intended for the following trained and qualified service personnel
who are responsible for installing and operating the Cisco Global Site
Selector 4490:
• System installer
• Hardware technician
• System operator
You should be familiar with internetworking equipment and cabling, and have a
basic knowledge of electronic circuitry and wiring practices.
To complete the installation, including the software configuration for the
GSS 4490, you should be familiar with basic networking principles and
configurations, especially web page protocols.
