I. Introduction
The WEBS-RETRO-MT is a kit that converts an existing ETP-MT Tower to a WEBS
®
-capable Mass Notification
Unit. This instruction manual assumes that a fully functional ETP-MT Tower has already been installed.
II. Contents
Before beginning installation, make sure you have all the included components. Each kit consists of two
packages. Package #1, labeled WEBS-RETRO-MT contains the painted WEBS
®
retrofit tower top. Package #2,
labeled WEBS-RETRO-KIT contains the following:

III. Installation
(A) Installing the Retrofit Tower Top
1) Unplug the strobe light from the power supply and the emergency phone.
2) Take off the strobe light attached to the top of the tower by unfastening the three 10-24 x 3/4" pan
head tamperproof screws and keep them safely aside.
3) Remove the cap plate of the retrofit tower top and fasten the unit to the top of the tower with the help
of the three 10-24 x 3/4" pan head tamperproof screws provided.
4) Install the four WEBS
®
loudspeakers by locking each down with the retainer bracket starting with the
bottommost speakers first (see Figure 1).
5) Fasten the strobe light to the top of the cap plate of the WEBS
®
Speaker Unit with the three 10-24 x
3/4" pan head tamperproof screws that were kept aside.
6) Pass the speaker and strobe light wiring through the center hole at the bottom of the retrofit top and
down to the bottom of the tower.
7) Close the top of the retrofit tower top with its cap plate and reconnect the strobe light wiring to the
emergency phone and to its power source.
