Printing the Self Test

Problem: The optional battery pack is low.
Solution: Recharge the battery pack. (The battery pack is described in Chapter 9, Installing a
Options.)
Problem: The optional battery pack is fully discharged.
Solution: Recharge the battery pack. (The battery pack is described in Chapter 9, Installing a

Problem: The optional battery pack is fully discharged.

If you have a problem with your printer that you cannot solve by
checking the indicator lights, try to print the self test as described in
Chapter 4, Using the Operator Panel. If you can print the self test, the
problem is not with the printer. Check the following:
1. Check the interface cable connection. Make sure you have
connected the correct interface cable to your computer and that
the connections are secure.
2. Make sure the computer is set up correctly for your printer.
3. Print a screen dump from your computer. If it does not print,
there is a problem with your software or the interface port. Call
the Canon Help desk at 1-800-423-2366.
