2.6 AC Adapter
The AC adapter can be used to provide power to the
indicator if battery power is low and AC power is
available. Use only the adapter supplied with the
indicator.
To use the AC adapter, do the following:
1. Remove the top screw from the AC adapter
port cover.
2. Loosen the bottom screw, then rotate the port
cover to expose the AC adapter port (see
Figure 2-6).
3. Reinstall the top screw in the backplate.
4. Plug AC adapter from power outlet to the
indicator adapter port.
Close the adapter port cover and reinstall screws as
described in Section 2.4 when not using the AC
adapter.
The IQ plus 390-DC enclosure cannot
be rated for NEMA 4X/IP66 applications
with the AC adapter port cover open.
Do not use the AC adapter in washdown environments.

2.7 Board Removal
If you must remove the IQ plus 390-DC CPU board,
use the following procedure:
1. Disconnect power to the indicator. Loosen
cord grips and remove backplate as described
in Section 2.2 on page 4.
2. Unplug all connections to the CPU board. See
Figure 2-3 on page 6 for connector locations.
3. Remove the four nuts from the corners of the
CPU board.
4. Remove the CPU board from the enclosure.
To replace the CPU board, reverse the above
procedure. Be sure to reinstall cable ties to secure all
cables inside the indicator enclosure. Replace
backplate and torque screws as shown in Figure 2-4.
