Traps

Enables transmission of the traps to the network management station with
the associated IP address.

IP Address

Indicates the IP address of the workstation receiving trap alarms from the
SEHI.

Configuring the Trap Table

Use the following steps to configure the Trap table:

1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the SNMP Community Name field,

then enter the community name.

2. Press ENTER.

3. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Traps field and enter Y (or y) to

send alarms from the SEHI to the workstation, or N (or n) to prevent
alarms from being sent.

4. Press ENTER.

5. Use the arrow keys to highlight the appropriate IP Address field.

6. Enter the IP address of the workstation to send traps to in this field.

The format for this entry is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, with the value of
XXX ranging from 0 to 255, and three dots, or else it returns to the
beginning of the field.

7. Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE option, then press ENTER

or F6. The “SAVED OK” message appears indicating that the changes
have been saved to memory.

Exiting the Trap Table Screen

Use the following steps to exit the Trap Table screen and return to the
Feature Selection screen:

1. Press the appropriate Function key. To exit to the Feature Selection

screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the RETURN command.

2. Press ENTER. The Feature Selection screen appears.
