Registering your name and number
5 The next eharacler is a digil. Press the numeric huilón corresponding lo the digit.

I You can enter up to 16 characters in a name.

To enter a space between chtiracters. press |.SP/\CT:| or move the cursor lo the right
using ¡>|.
I To correct a mistake, use the arrow buttons lo mo\e the cursor under the mistake;
then enter the correct ehai'acter. You can also press |C1-P,AR| to begin again; then
simply enter the name again.
I To erase a prcwiously registered name, press |CLH,AR| or simply enter the new
name o\ er the old one.

■ Identifying your documents
When sending a document, you c;in have your lax number and your name (known as
\ (Hir ID), and the current dale and time printed out by the receiving tax. This intorma-
lon is called yourTTI (Transmit rerminal Identification) and appears at the lop of the
faxed document in small type.
In the United States, you are retpiired to include this information every time you
send a fax. So be sure to enter your TTl information in your FAXPHONE now.
By identifying the documents you send, the receiving party will recognize your fax
messages at a glance. The illustration below show s a sample document w ith the iden-
tifvine information.

The top line includes the name of the receiving party if you send the document
using One-touch Speed Dialing, Coded Speed Dialing, (¡roup Dialing, or Direc­
tory Dialing and you registered the party's name. It also includes the total num­
ber of pages sent if you send the document from memory.
