Remote oper.ition is canceled.

• 20 seconds have elapsed after you pressed REMOTE.

Start again by pressing REMOTE.

Five short error beeps sound
when you press REMOTE.

• Someone else is operating the base unit.

Press REMOTE again to cancel the remote operation.

The phone rings and the
remote operation is canceled.

• There is an incoming call.

Receive the call.

• You are connecting the base unit to an AC outlet for the Erst time or

after a power interruption.
Press any button to turn it off.

TTie POWER lamp blinks.

• The backup batteries are not installed in the base unit.

Install the backup batteries (page 13).

• The backup batteries are dead.

Replace them with new ones.
