Installing System Components
Dell™ PowerEdge™ 800 Systems Installation and Troubleshooting Guide
This section describes how to install the following system components:

Cooling Shroud
Removing the Cooling Shroud
1.
Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
2.
Remove the bezel. See "
Removing the Bezel
" in "Troubleshooting Your System."
3.
Lay the system on its right side.
4.
Remove the cover. See "
Removing the Cover
" in "Troubleshooting Your System."
5.
Disconnect the power cables and hard-drive interface cable connectors from the SCSI backplane (if applicable) or hard drives.
6.
Press the shroud release tab on the back panel toward the power supply. See

Lift the cooling shroud out of the system. See
