Running BootUtil
The syntax for issuing BootUtil command line options in DOS is: BootUtil [-option] or -[OPTION]=[VALUE]
To run the Linux version of BootUtil, the qv driver must be loaded first. If the qv driver is not installed, follow the steps below
load it.
1. Log in as root and create a temporary directory to build the Intel® Network Connections Tools driver.
2. Copy 'install' and the appropriate iqvlinux.tar.gz file for your platform to the temporary directory. The versions of Linux
supported are Linux 32 (x86) and Linux64e (x64). The appropriate iqvlinux.tar.gz file is located in the corresponding
directory for your platform.
3. Go to the temporary directory and run the command: './install'
The qv driver is now installed and the files in the temporary directory can be removed.
4. Copy the correct version of BootUtil from the appropriate directory of the CD to your system.
Command Line Parameters
BootUtil accepts one executable parameter and its associated non-executable options in an execution. If conflicting executable
options are supplied (such as -FLASHENABLE and -UPDATE used together), BootUtil exits with an error.
The options, where applicable, are listed in logical groups.
NOTE: On the following adapters, only one image, either iSCSI Boot or PXE Option ROM, is allowed for all ports since
the ports share the same flash. You cannot have one port with a flash image for iSCSI Boot and the other with a flash
image for PXE Option ROM.
