Scanning Slides
1. Select SCAN SLIDES from the LOAD AND SCAN SLIDES screen.
2. The system will ask you to verify that the arm is clear.
3. The Autostainer Plus will then scan the slides, beginning at Position #12. It will scan the
number of slides that have been programmed. For example, if you have programmed 6
slides and loaded 7 slides, it will only scan 6. If all slides have been located, the SET
START TIME screen will appear.
4. If a slide is omitted, the software will prompt the user to identify and manually select the
position of the missing slide in the LOAD AND SCAN SLIDES screen.
5. Once slides have been manually identified and the OK button has been selected in the
LOAD AND SCAN SLIDES screen, the SET START TIME screen will be displayed.
NOTE: Through the LOAD AND SCAN SLIDES screen, if the slide location is manually
inserted (via software), an asterisk (*) will appear next to that particular slide position in
the PROGRAMMING GRID, Run Log, and IHC Report.
