Bracket “B”
installation:
1. Park the vehicle on a level concrete or asphalt surface with the front tires / wheels pointing
straight forward.
2. Set the emergency brake & block the rear tires / wheels.
3. Install the new Skyjacker main bracket “A” around the front face of the axle using the supplied
square u-bolts, washers, & nuts. (See Photo # 1) Note: Do not tighten at this time.
4. Install the new Skyjacker tie rod bracket “B” to the OEM tie rod using the supplied 7/16” x 1 1/2"
bolt through the new tie rod bracket. Install the supplied washer between the new tie rod bracket
& the OEM tie rod & secure loosely with the washer & lock nut. (See Photo # 1)
5. Install the body end of the new Skyjacker steering stabilizers to the main bracket & connect the
shaft end to the new tie rod bracket using the supplied stem bushings, washers, & nuts. (See
Photos # 1 & # 2)
6. Extend the new steering stabilizer shafts out exactly 4.08” & adjust the new brackets so full
clearance is obtained. Tighten all hardware at this time.
7. Cycle the tires / wheels left to right & check for adequate clearance.
Note: Photo shows 79-83 models. The main bracket will look slightly different on 84-85 models.
