7. Install the new Skyjacker non-tapered stud into the top of the new
steering stabilizer bracket. Install the supplied 5/8 hourglass
bushings & boot onto the new Skyjacker steering stabilizer.
8. Attach the new Skyjacker steering stabilizer onto the new studs
using the supplied washers & nuts. (See Photo # 4)
important Notes:
• Part # 7154 is designed to work on vehicles with a 4” or 8.5" suspension lift. When installing on an
8.5”, the new steering stabilizer & stud will mount to the bottom of the new frame bracket. Part #
7156 is designed to work on vehicles with a 6” suspension lift.
Final Notes:
• After the installation is complete, double check that all nuts & bolts are tight. Refer to the following
chart for the proper torque specifications. (Do not retighten the nuts & bolts where thread lock
compound was used.)
• Cycle the steering of the vehicle left to right & check all parts for adequate clearance.
• After the first 100 miles, check all of the hardware for the proper torque & periodically thereafter.
