3 Row Spike and Reel Harrow
Installation
See Figures 2-23 thru 2-30 for 3 Row Spike and Reel
Harrow placement dimensions.
1. Attach spike harrow arm assemblies to rear frame
using u-bolts and 5/8-11 hex lock nuts (See
Figure 3-17.)
2. Attach spike bars to spike harrow arm assemblies
per placement drawings using bar clamps or bar
clamps w/ tabs, 1/2-13 x 4-1/2 hex head cap screws
and hex lock nuts.Verify that the spring assembly
dimension is 21-3/4”. This should set the reels even
with the bottom of the sweeps. Remove excess slack
through the adjustment pin (p/n 164336) yet allow
bolt to turn. Once the 21-3/4” dimension is achieved,
tighten double nuts to secure.
3. Attach reel assembly to spike harrow arm assemblies
using u-bolt and 5/8-11 hex lock nuts.
NOTE

tabs.
NOTE
The harrow arms with catch tray hooks are used on the
outer wings with the catch tray hooks toward the outside
of the machine and the catch tray toward the inside of the
machine. Refer to Figures 2-23, 2-24, and 3-17 for
locations.
