Keys

Fixed Keys

The 2020ppbPRO has two fixed keys. The first fixed key is the ON/OFF key. The
second fixed key is the dedicated calibration key. Pressing the CAL key will start
calibration in almost any mode.

The ON/OFF key is used to both turn power on to the 2020ppbPRO as well as the
turn the power off. To turn on the 2020ppbPRO, press the ON/OFF key. To turn the
power off, press the ON/OFF key and hold it down for 5 seconds, and then release
it. This is done to prevent accidental power off.

Soft Keys

The three soft keys on the 2020ppbPRO are located directly below the display. Each
key has varying functions for configuring the 2020ppbPRO, editing the data, and
controlling the display. Since only three soft keys are available, each function is
broken down into a path. Maps, showing each path and the resulting functions, are
shown in Figures 6, 7, and 8.

Beginning Operation

Turning the 2020ppbPRO On

1. Turn the 2020ppbPRO on by pressing the ON/OFF key. See Figure 1

for the location of the ON/OFF key.

2. The 2020ppbPRO

will display the instrument’s software version number.

Next the 2020ppbPRO will proceed to the mode display.

3. The 2020ppbPRO has an instant-on lamp. For maximum accuracy and

stability, allow the 2020ppbPRO to warm-up for 10 minutes prior to
calibration.

Operational Displays

When the instrument is turned on the display shows the last mode the 2020ppbPRO
used. The display can show readings either in ppb, ppm, or Mg/M3 units of
