Symptom
Possible Cause
Corrective Action
Engine will not start from lower
controls.
Switches are set wrong. The engine
will not crank.
Turn the battery disconnect switch
on and then at the lower controls:
• Turn the start switch off.
• Pull the emergency stop button
outward.
• Place the control selector switch
in the lower control position.
• Place the start switch in the on
position for 5 seconds and then
turn the switch to start.
The start switch was left in the on
position for 30 seconds or longer
before turning it to start.
Turn the start switch to off, then to
start within 30 seconds.
The main system circuit breaker
on the wiring box has tripped. The
engine will not crank.
Push the main system circuit breaker
button back in. If the button pops
back out, refer the problem to a
qualified service technician.
Engine will not start from upper
controls.

From the upper controls:
• Turn the start switch off.
• Pull the emergency stop button
outward.
• Place the start switch in the on
position for 5 seconds and then
turn the switch to start.
Platform foot switch is activated.
Do not step on foot switch while
starting the engine.
The start switch was left in the on
position for 30 seconds or longer
before turning it to start.
Turn the start switch back to off, then
to start within 30 seconds.
The main system circuit breaker on
the upper control panel or wiring
box has tripped. The engine will not
crank.
Push the main system circuit breaker
button back in. If the button pops
back out, refer the problem to a
qualified service technician.
