2.3 PRE-START INSPECTION
The Pre-Start Inspection should include each of the following:
Cleanliness
1.
– Check all surfaces for leakage (oil, fuel, or battery fluid) or foreign objects.
Report any leakage to the proper maintenance personnel.
Decals and Placards
2.
– Check all for cleanliness and legibility. Make sure no decals or
placards are missing. Make sure all illegible decals and placards are cleaned or replaced.
Operators and Safety Manuals
3.
– Make sure a copy of the Operation and Safety Manual,
Safety Manual, and Manual of Responsibilities is enclosed.
Daily Walk
4.
- Around Inspection – (See Section 2.4)
Battery
5.
– Charge as required.
Hydraulic Oil
6.
– Check the hydraulic oil level.
7.
NOTE: Check Service Manual for instructions and hydraulic oil specification before adding.
DO NOT OVERFILL.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE SERVICE TRAINING FOR THE SPECIFIC
PRODUCT MODEL.
