Setting the focus
Use the focus selector to set the distance from the lens to the subject.
1 Estimate the focal distance from the front surface of the LCD screen to the object
being photographed.
2 Set the focus for the correct distance:

Close-up 3.5 to 5.1 inches (9 to 13 cm)

Portrait 17.7 to 35.4 inches (45 to 90 cm)

Far 35.4 inches and farther (90 cm and farther)
For close-up images, you can set the focus between close-up and portrait.
IMPORTANT Do not use the close-up focus when you use the viewfinder. It is
not accurate.
