7 - 6 AUTO DIAL NUMBERS AND DIALING OPTIONS
Speed-Dialing

If it is not illuminated in green, press ( Fax ). Place the
original face up in the ADF, or face down on the scanner glass.

Press Search/Speed Dial , # , and then the three-digit
Speed-Dial number. (See Storing Speed-Dial numbers on page
7-2.)

Press Start .
Manual dialing
Manual dialing means pressing all of the digits of the phone number.
Using an external telephone
The easiest way to use your external telephone is to pick up the
handset and dial the number on the external telephone as you
normally would.

Pick up the handset of the external telephone.

Dial the number on the external telephone.

To hang up, replace the handset.
If you try to use a One-Touch or Speed-Dial location with no
number stored in it, you hear a warning sound, and LCD shows
Not Registered
. The LCD returns to normal after 2 seconds.
