3. If the computer is not already on, press the power button on the port
replicator to turn the computer on. The power light on the computer will
turn on, indicating that the computer is receiving power.

Undocking your computer
The system supports hot docking and undocking.
To disconnect a computer from the port replicator, first save all of your work
and then follow the steps below:
1. Make sure the computer lock switch on the port replicator is set to the
unlocked position.

The first time you dock your computer, a message should appear on your
computer screen indicating the devices connected to the port replicator are
ready to use. If this message does not appear, follow the instructions in
step 1 of
Setting up the port replicator
, or see the Troubleshooting section.
NOTE
You can leave your computer docked in the port replicator overnight. Use
the standard Windows
®
shutdown procedure, which will automatically
power off your computer. Press the power button on the port replicator (or
the computer's power button) when you are ready to turn the computer on
again.
NOTE
Do not disconnect the computer from the port replicator while an
application is running or while the Eject or LAN active lights are on. When
the Docked light is off and the LAN connected light is green, it is safe to
disconnect.
