Component

Description

Front hooks

Engage holes at the front of the computer to ensure a

secure connection to the port replicator.

Universal Serial

Bus (USB) ports

Connection points for USB 2.0 or 1.1 devices. Four

USB ports are provided on the back of the port

replicator and two on the left side.

Computer lock

In the locked position, helps prevent disconnection of

the computer from the port replicator.

Security lock

slot

Attachment point for an optional security cable (not

included) used to deter theft.

Line out

(Headphones,

Speakers)

A standard 3.5 mm mini jack for audio output to

speakers, a headphone or headset, or other audio

out devices.

Microphone

A standard 3.5 mm mini jack for stereo audio input

from a microphone or other recording device.

Network port

Connection point for a network cable.

Supports:
*Ethernet (10 megabits per second,

10BASE-T)
*Fast Ethernet (100 megabits per second,

100BASE-T)
*Gigabit Ethernet (1000 megabits per second,

1000BASE-T)
Note: Gigabit Ethernet support is only available if

your computer model also supports it.

LAN connected

light

Glows green to indicate the computer is connected to

a LAN hub.

LAN active light

Glows orange when the computer is exchanging data

with the network.

DVI port

Connection point for a DVI monitor. Supports DVI-D

monitors only.

RGB monitor

port

Connection point for an analog VGA monitor.
Note: Depending on your computer model, you may

be able to connect external monitors to the DVI port

and the RGB Monitor port simultaneously and display

information on both monitors at the same time. Check

your computer documentation for more information.
