5. Locate the RAID 110i upgrade key on the system board. Then, lift the RAID 110i upgrade key straight
up to remove it from the upgrade key connector.

6. If you are instructed to return the old RAID 110i upgrade key, follow all packaging instructions and use
any packaging materials that are supplied to you for shipping.

• To complete the removal procedure, go to “Completing the parts replacement” on page 164. As the
onboard SATA software RAID 5 is not available without the RAID 110i upgrade key, you might need to
reconfigure RAID for your server. See “Configuring RAID” on page 58.
