To prevent damage to the printer, do not pull abruptly on the
paper.

If a

Lower Jam message appears on the operator panel, follow this

procedure.

1. Unlock and open the front door.

2. Rotate the paper path release lever on the bottom (labeled B)

down to the unlocked position.
