IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING - To reduce the risk of hair entanglement and hair and body entrapment, install suction fittings with a marked flow rate in gallons

per minute that exceeds the flow rate of your system by at least 25%.
WARNING - ALWAYS use multiple suction outlets for each pump.

WARNING - If the suction cover is damaged, cracked, deformed or missing shut the system down immediately. Do not use the system until the

cover has been replaced.
WARNING - To reduce the risk of injury, do not permit children to use this product unless they are supervised closely by an adult.

WARNING - Use a flat mounting surface that is smooth, flat and free of debris to prevent gaps that cause leaks and hair entrapment hazard.

WARNING - Do not install this product unless and until the application is identified and the proper suction fitting(s) are used and comply with

ASME / ANSI Suction Fitting Standards.
WARNING - Cover must be secure. DO NOT operate the pump if the cover is loose, damaged, not mounted on a flat surface or missing.

WARNING - Keep hair and clothing at least 12 inches from all suction fittings and drains at all times. Persons with long hair should either

secure hair to a minimum length or wear a bathing cap.
WARNING - The temperature of the water must never exceed the system manufacturer’s recommendation.

Installation Instructions:
Identify a flat mounting surface.

Cut a 3” hole with a hole saw at the chosen mounting location.

Verify that the inside surface immediately surrounding the hole is smooth, flat and free of debris. The mandatory o-ring seal will rest on this

Align elbow holes with cover screw holes. Use a #1 Philips screwdriver to fasten the suction cover (30-3808) to the elbow (30-3810) with 2

thread-forming Plastite screws (6011910). Torque to 3 in-lbs.
Slide the O-Ring (30-236) over the elbow socket and place in the groove formed by the cover and elbow (figs. 3 & 4).

Place the elbow with suction cover and o-ring through the hole from the inside of the system. Face the pipe socket towards the pump. The

socket should be angled at least 1.5° from horizontal to provide slope for water drainage.
100% Silicone sealant may be used as added leak prevention. Apply a 1/4” thick bead of silicone on the full circumference of the inside edge

Thread the nut (30-3809) onto the elbow and tighten with a strap or grip wrench to 60 ± 10 in-Ibs.

Apply purple PVC primer to the barb and immediately slide the tube (30-2424) onto the elbow barb until it is fully engaged.

Uninstall Instructions
In the event that the suction cover is damaged, it must be replaced. Disable the system and do not use until the cover is replaced with a new,
