& 2 PORT BUTTERFLY JET (P/N 10-5000)**

Installation Instructions

1. Install the 3 Port Butterfly Jet as the first jet in the system to allow control of flow to
entire

system.

2. Locate a flat surface 4 3/4” in diameter for installing the 3 Port Butterfly Jet.

3. Drill hole using a 3 1/4” hole saw at center of flat surface.

4. Apply silicone to wall fitting (#4) threads, filling grooves, and position in 3 1/4” hole.

5. Place gasket over threads of wall fitting on backside of spa wall; the gasket will be located

between jet back and spa wall. Thread wall fitting (#4) into jet (# 1).

NOTE:

If surface of spa is uneven, the gasket may be used on front side between

wall fitting flange and spa surface.

6. Hand tighten wall fitting into jet. Tighten the wall fitting to 10 ft/lbs maximum torque.

**NOTE:

If you are using only 2 of the ports on the jet body (1 entrance and 1 exit)

be sure to:

1) Use the ports farthest apart (180°). This will assure minimum hydraulic

loss.

2) Block off 3rd port with 11/2” slip plug.

3) Label on jet body indicates direction water MUST flow.

7. Install Nozzle/Diverter (#2) into jet (#1) through wall fitting, pushing nozzle/diverter into
back of jet. Be sure to align opening in nozzle/diverter with middle port of jet body.

8. Lock nozzle /diverter (#2) into place by threading locking ring (#3) until snug.

9. Slip handle (#5) through wall fitting, lining up cutout at bottom of handle with nozzle

portion of (#2) nozzle/diverter. Press handle firmly into place; clip must snap into place.

NOTE:

Handle may be removed by lifting both clips inward inside handle, while

pulling handle out of wall fitting.

10. With jet in place, plumb dedicated air line in either right or left side 1” socket. Use the 1”

slip plug provided to block off unused socket.

11. Rotate the handle to control direction of the flow.
