Focus Lock
When the camera focuses on an object in the center of the frame, you can use focus lock to
focus on an off-center subject. The following explains how to use focus lock when A Point
and shoot is enabled and the focus area is displayed in the center of the frame.
1
Aim the camera at the subject so that the subject is in the center of the
frame.
2
Press the shutter-release button
halfway.
• Confirm that the focus area turns green.
• Focus and exposure are locked.
3
Continue holding down the shutter-release
button halfway and recompose the picture.
• Be sure to maintain the same distance between the
camera and the subject.
4
Press the shutter-release button the rest of
the way down to take the picture.
