Notes About Autofocus
Autofocus may not perform as expected (
A 62). Should this occur, try the following.
Frame another subject—positioned at the same distance from the camera as the intended
subject—in the center of the frame, press the
b (e movie-record) button to start recording, and
then modify the composition.

Functions Available with Movie Recording
• The current setting for Shoot close-ups (A 43), Photograph food (A 43), Shoot under
water (
A 45), Brighter/darker (A 51), or More vivid/less vivid (A 51) is applied when
recording movies. Confirm settings before starting movie recording.
• The self-timer (A 37) can be used. When the self-timer is enabled, the camera starts recording 10
seconds after you press the
b (e movie-record) button.
• The flash does not fire.
• You can set the movie recording size (A 56) before you start recording a movie by pressing a
flexible button.
