Using the Flash
You can set the flash mode to match the shooting conditions.
The flash mode selected while using A Point and shoot (
A 34) is saved in the camera’s
memory even after the camera is turned off.
Available Flash Modes
Enter shooting mode M flexible button 2 (Z) M flexible button 2 (x Flash)
w Auto flash
• The flash fires automatically when lighting is dim.
• k is displayed in the shooting screen when this feature is enabled.
y
Flash off
The flash does not fire.
• We recommend using a tripod to stabilize the camera when shooting in dark
surroundings.
• S is displayed in the shooting screen when this feature is enabled.
x
Always fire flash
• The flash fires whenever a picture is taken. Use to “fill-in” (illuminate) shadows and
backlit subjects.
• W is displayed in the shooting screen when this feature is enabled.
