Auto Off When Using Smile Timer
When using smile timer, auto off (
A 21) turns the camera off if no operations are performed in the
following situations:
• The camera does not detect any faces.
• The camera detected a face, but cannot detect a smile.

When the Self-timer Lamp Flashes
When using smile timer, the self-timer lamp flashes when the camera detects a face, and flashes
quickly immediately after the shutter is released.

Releasing the Shutter Manually
The shutter can also be released by pressing the shutter-release button. If no faces are detected, the
camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.
