Setting Port Roles
This procedure sets port roles. For an explanation of port roles, refer to
“Port Roles” on page 726. You must set up the port roles before you
enable port access control.
To set port roles, perform the following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, type 7 to select Security and Services.
The Security and Services menu is shown in Figure 79 on page 283.
2. From the Security and Services menu, type 2 to select Port Access
Control (802.1X).
The Port Access Control (802.1X) menu is shown in Figure 250.

3. From the Port Access Control menu, type 3 to select Configure Port
Access Role.
The following prompt is displayed:

4. Enter the port whose role you want to change. You can configure more
than one port at a time. You can specify ports individually (for example,
5,7,22), as a range (for example, 18-23), or both (for example 1,5,14-
22).
