Unpacking a Switch
To unpack a switch, perform the following procedure:
1. Remove all components from the shipping packages.
Note
Store the packaging material in a safe location. You must use the
original shipping material if you need to return the unit to Allied
Telesis.
2. Place the switch on a level, secure surface.
3. Make sure the following components are included in your switch
package. If any item is missing or damaged, contact your Allied Telesis
sales representative for assistance.
ˆ One AT-GS950/8POE Gigabit Ethernet WebSmart Switch
ˆ Two rack-mount brackets
ˆ Eight flathead Phillips rack-mount bracket screws
ˆ Four #10-32 Phillips screws with nylon washers
ˆ AC power cord (Americas, Australia, EU, Japan, and UK only)
ˆ Four self-adhesive rubber feet
ˆ Documentation CD
