Taking Your First Picture
1. Connect a power source to the CAMERA (See page 26)
(A battery pack or an AC power adapter)
2. Set the device to CAMERA mode and the
power switch to the REC mode.
■ Open the LCD monitor.
■ Ensure that the Memory Stick has been
properly inserted into the device.
■ Make sure the image you want to record
appears on the LCD monitor or viewfinder.
■ Make sure the battery level indicates that
there is enough remaining power for your
expected recording time.
3. Press the Photo Button halfway down to set the
focus.
■ A Sound Effect will play when the focus is
set.
■ Press the Photo Button halfway down to
automatically set the focus, White Balance,
and exposure for the best results.
4. Press the Photo Button firmly to take a picture.
■ While the camcorder is recording the still
image, "
" appears on the screen.
Notes
■ This Auto Power off feature is designed to save battery power.
■ Take a photograph in 2m distance from a photographic subject in
low illumination.
