Emergency Alerts Box
Emergency Alerts lets you receive geographically-targeted
Wireless Emergency Alerts. Alerts will alert you of imminent
threats to your safety within your area. There is no charge for
receiving Emergency Alerts.
There are three types of Emergency Alerts:
•
Presidential
•
Imminent (Severe or Extreme)
•
AMBER Alerts (missing person alert)
Note: You can choose not to receive Imminent Alerts and
AMBER Alerts. You cannot disable Presidential Alerts.
Disabling
To disable Imminent Threat Alerts (Extreme and Severe) and/
or AMBER Alerts:
1. From the Messages menu, select Msg Settings ➔
Emergency Alerts ➔ Receive Alerts.
All alerts are enabled by default (check mark showing).
2. To disable alerts, highlight an alert and press Unmark,
then press Done.
Voicemail Box
From the Messages menu, you can view a list of new
voicemail messages, clear the voicemail counter, and call
voicemail to listen to your messages.
1. From the Messages menu, select Voicemail. The
following options are available:
• On the Voicemail screen, view the number of new messages.
• To check your messages, press CALL to dial voicemail.
• To clear the voicemail counter, press Clear.
