Connecting the Hardware
Connecting power
Use the supplied AC line cord to connect the CX-6p-PoE to a 90-260VAC power line by
plugging one end of the cord into the polarized 3 pin socket on the rear of the CX-6p-
PoE, and the other end into an available 3 pin grounded power outlet.
Connecting to the network
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the any of ports 1-4 on the front of the CX-6p-
PoE and the other end to the Ethernet network.
Connecting a serial device
To connect the CX-6p-PoE to a RS232 serial device, connect a serial cable from the
serial port on the rear of the CX-6p-PoE to the serial device. The CX-6p-PoE RS232 is
configured as a DTE device.
