of SIM will work as it is without any changes.

nPars and Blade Link Domain

Unlike other partitionable systems, the nPars are associated to the Blade Link Domain to which
they belong and there is no notion of a Complex node.

nPars and VC profiles

Each of the Monarchs in a Blade Link Domain can be assigned a VC profile. Once a VC profile
is assigned, the details of the same can be seen even in SIM.

Differences between Superdome 2 nPars and BL8x0c i4 nPars

The following table shows differences between nPars on Superdome 2 and nPars on BL8x0c i4
servers:

Always ensure the output of SYSSET command shows correct Model information reflecting the
present partition configuration.

Configuring Onboard Administrator to send traps to CMS

The Central Management Server IP address needs to be added in the SNMP settings of Onboard
Administrator to allow Onboard Administrator send traps to the CMS. The steps are :

1.

Login to Onboard Administrator:

2.

Navigate to Enclosure Information -> Enclosure Settings -> SNMP Settings.

3.

Enter the IP Address or Fully Qualified Domain Name of the CMS in the Host section and
Community String of the CMS in Community String section.

4.

Click on Add button to add the CMS to the trap listeners list.

5.

A test alert can be sent to ensure CMS receives the trap by clicking on Send Test Alert button.
