GetDpmInfo
command
Syntax
GetDpmInfo -VDGroup | -VirtualDisk | -Snapshot | -SyncGroup objectName
Description
For each object under the DPM configuration, a pair of primary and secondary DPMs are defined.
At any time, one DPM is the active DPM for communications with the VSM object. This command
displays the names of the active, primary, and secondary DPMs.
Example
GetDpmInfo -VirtualDisk “MyVirtualDisk”
GetDpmInfo -VDGroup “MyVirtualDisk”
SetUDHVirtualDiskLun
command
Syntax
SetUDHVirtualDiskLun -VirtualDisk VirtualDiskOrSnapshotName, ~
-Host “UDH_Name”, -Lun LunNumber
Description
Sets or changes the virtual disk LUN configuration. The arguments are:
VirtualDisk
: Virtual disk or snapshot name.
Host
: Host (UDH) name with R/W permissions for this virtual disk.
Lun
: LUN number attached to this virtual disk. It should be a decimal (0–254) or hexadecimal (0x
prefix) value.
Example
SetUDHVirtualDiskLun -VirtualDisk “Vol1”, -Host “host1”, -Lun “0xAB”
Operating system related commands
FlushCache
command
Syntax
FlushCache -VirtualDisk MountedVirtualDiskOrSnapshotName
Description
Flushes the memory cache of the operating system associated with a VSM virtual disk or snapshot
mounted on the computer.
IMPORTANT:
This command is only valid for Windows 2003/2008. For other operating systems,
a device dismount will also force the cache flush.
