ExpandVirtualDiskOnThisComputer

command

Syntax

ExpandVirtualDiskOnThisComputer -VirtualDisk VirtualDiskName, ~
-StoragePool PoolName1 MBfromPool1, ~
[-StoragePool PoolName2 MBfromPool2,] ~
[-StoragePool PoolName3 MBfromPool3,] ~
-timeout 900

Description

Expands the capacity of an existing VSM virtual disk mounted on this computer. For each storage
pool, supply the amount of capacity (in MB) to allocate from this storage pool (MbfromPool). The
amount in MB should be a positive value.

NOTE:

A virtual disk with PiTs on it, or is in a synchronous mirror group, cannot be expanded.

For Windows 2003/2008: Command waits for the local driver to recognize the change.

On other platforms: Command works the same as ExpandVirtualDisk.

GetBackEndLuName

command

Syntax

GetBackEndLuName -VirtualDisk VirtualDiskName

Description

Gets the device name (number) of a VSM snapshot (or virtual disk) name.

NOTE:

This command is currently valid only for Windows 2003/2008.

GetMyHostInfo

command

Syntax

GetMyHostInfo

Description

Gets host information. The name of the host, when working with a UDH (user defined host), is not
the computer name. Information obtained is host “sa” version, host type (OS), HBA list, host virtual
disk list, LUN list, switch name, and personality.

GetVirtualDiskData

command

Syntax

GetVirtualDiskData -VirtualDisk VirtualDiskName

Description

Gets virtual disk data, such as virtual disk status, capacity, virtual disk group to which it belongs
(if any), creation time, cluster support, storage pools on which defined, hosts that have permission
to it, and so on.
