6 Using the Recovery Manager CLI
Recovery Manager for SQL Server Command Line Interface (CLI)
HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for Microsoft SQL Server provides a Command Line Interface
(CLI). The CLI allows users to manage Recovery Manager functionality using commands rather than
the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
Use this CLI command: To do the following:
RMSql create Create virtual copies
RMSql remove Remove unmounted virtual copies
RMSql mount Mount virtual copies
RMSql unmount Unmount virtual copies
RMSql backup Backup virtual copies to media using Symantec NetBackup
or HP Data Protector
RMSql restore Restore from virtual copies
RMSql display Display virtual copies currently in the repository
RMSql listbackup List backup entries currently in the backup pool
RMSql deletebackup Delete backup entries currently in the backup pool
RMSql repository Query and change repository location
RMSql portconfig Query and change the port location
RMSql timeconfig Change the wait time for backup, volume restore, and
analysis
RMSql report Gather the environmental statistics and create a log file for
diagnosis
RMSql analyze Analyze and synchronize the volumes in the HP 3PAR
Storage System and the virtual copies in the repository
RMSql policy Set Recovery Manager policies
RMSql rescan Scan the SQL server for any changes
RMSql setvc Set policy for specified virtual copy
