If the AMS has stopped, restart the AMS. The server is displayed in the Operations console after
the next discovery cycle completes.

HP Agentless servers that use AMS are discovered and listed in HP Linux Servers or
HP VMware Servers views

HP Agentless servers running a Linux or VMware operating system and using AMS can appear in
the HP Linux Servers view or the HP VMware Servers view if you have imported the HP ProLiant
Agentless Management Pack but you are still using the HP ProLiant Linux and VMware Management
Pack for System Center (included with HP Insight Control for Microsoft System Center 6.3).
To correct this problem, perform these steps:
1.

Import the appropriate management pack(s) included with HP Insight Control for Microsoft
System Center 7.0 (or later): HP ProLiant Linux Management Pack
(HewlettPackard.ProLiant.Monitored.Linux.mp) or HP ProLiant VMware
Management Pack (HewlettPackard.ProLiant.Monitored.VMware.mp).

2.

Delete the HP ProLiant Linux and VMware Management Pack for System Center from SCOM.
In the Management Packs view of the Administration view, the display name for this
management pack is:

Hewlett-Packard ProLiant Server Management Pack for Linux and VMware
version 2.0.0.0

HP Systems view displays the same server multiple times

The same server might be displayed in different views in the HP Systems view of the Operations
console for any of the following reasons:

If the server is an HP Agentless server and the server is displayed in both the HP Agentless
Servers view and the HP Windows Servers view, the server might have Insight Management
agents installed for use with other features of HP Insight Control for Microsoft System Center.
In this case, it is correct behavior for the Operations console to display multiple instances of
the same server.

If the server is displayed multiple times in the same group, such as in the HP VMware Servers
view, the server might be registered to multiple instances of the DMS. Register different servers
under different monitor services to fix this issue. For detailed information about registering a
server with a monitor service, see the HP Device Monitor for Microsoft System Center User
Guide
.

If the server is an HP Agentless server that uses AMS and the server is displayed in both the
HP Agentless Servers view and either the HP Linux Servers view or the HP VMware Servers
view, see

“HP Agentless servers that use AMS are discovered and listed in HP Linux Servers

or HP VMware Servers views” (page 31)

.

Health Explorer does not display Knowledge information for computers and certain
Windows components

Knowledge bases are components of Microsoft Management Pack and display limited or no
information.

HP Custom Data Manager cannot be used with this management pack

The HP Custom Data Manager (CDM) is accessible from other management pack groups on the
Diagram and State views; however CDM only supports HP ProLiant servers running supported
versions of Windows operating system software for custom data management.
