The files are now ready to be transferred. Click on the FTP button on the bottom left
of the FTP window. This will transfer all the files from the Tandem Client directory
of the SMM CD. When the file transferring has been completed, minimize the SMM
screen.
3.5 Configuring the Client on the Tandem
Note: The server must be configured before configuring the Client!
Log on as “SUPER.SUPER”. Then volume over to the location of the transferred
client files.
Check to see if the TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME^PARAM is set. Type “PARAM” at
the prompt. The following is an example:
$SYSTEM TSIMMCLT > PARAM
TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME .$ZTC0.
If the TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME PARAM is not set, it must be added. Simply type
“PARAM TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME ” and press enter. The
following is an example:
$SYSTEM.TSISMMC > PARAM TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME $ZTC0
The TACL prompt will now reappear. Type “RUN CONFIG”. (See the example in
Appendix D). Select and enter the password at the next prompt to go any further
with configuration. A Help menu will scroll up with the configuration options.
