Installation Procedures
Connecting the External HDD to the Server
To connect the external HDD to the server:
1. Connect AC power to the power supply and appropriate wall socket.
2. Power on the power supply.
3. Power on the external HDD and verify the power light is on.
4. Connect the USB cable between the external HDD and the server.
Installing the BounceBack Software
IMPORTANT: When you connect the external HDD to the server, HP recommends that you choose
“Default Backup.” For BounceBack users, this is the best and preferred method to create a complete
(full) backup of your server hard drive.
To install the BounceBack Express software:
1. Insert the BounceBack CD into the CD-ROM drive and close the drive.
2. The BounceBack menu will open automatically. Click Install from the
BounceBack menu.
