A Remote Copy configuration can also be configured as a Synchronous Long Distance configuration.
Typically, a synchronous long distance Remote Copy configuration involves three HP 3PAR StoreServ
Storage systems. Database virtual volumes are synced from one system to the two other systems.
One is synced using synchronous mode. The other is synced using asynchronous periodic mode.
