Five files are passed to SWID: two have file code 800, two have file code 700, and one
have file code 100.
In the first example, the fingerprint type parameter is set to 0. SWID computes the
DEFAULT TYPE fingerprint for the files.
In the second example, the fingerprint type parameter is set to 1. In this example:
•
File C800V1 is a code 800 file with an original fingerprint of Version 1; fingerprint
type 1 is not supported for Version 1, as indicated in the message.
•
File C800V2 is a code 800 file with an original fingerprint of Version 2; fingerprint
type 1 is supported for this fingerprint version and file code.
•
File C700EV1 is a code 700 file; fingerprint type 1 is supported for fingerprint
Version 1 for a code 700 ELF file.
•
File COFF31A1 is a code 700 COFF file; fingerprint type 1 is not supported for
COFF files, as indicated in the message.
•
File C100NOFP is a code 100 file with an original fingerprint of Version 2;
fingerprint type 1 is supported for this version and file code.
In the third example, the fingerprint type parameter is set to -1, which is an invalid
value for all file codes.
