NetworkResource
A NetworkResource object represents a set of storage area networks known to SPM. Each
NetworkResource object should represent networks from a single vendor.

be displayed in SPM). String DisplayName
A brief description of this network. String Description
Network
A NetworkResource object contains a sequence of zero or more Network objects. To be meaningful,
a NetworkResource should contain at least one Network object.
Name
Within a NetworkResource, the Name string indicates the name of the network resource. It must
be fully qualified and unique within an SPM installation. NetworkResource names are case sensitive.
DisplayName
The DisplayName element of a NetworkResource is a brief string used to identify the
NetworkResource within the SPM interface. This string need not be unique, and is used only for
display purposes.
Description
The Description element of a NetworkResource is a string describing the resource. It need not be
unique. It will be displayed along with the DisplayName when a Network is imported into SPM.
Network
Network objects represent particular unmanaged SANs. A Network may have a ZoningState of
Open
if and only if it contains no zones.

Zero or more Endpoint objects. Sequence of Endpoint Endpoint
The name of this network. String Name
ZoningState may be Open or Zoned. ZoningState ZoningState
Zone
Each Network contains a sequence of zero or more zones. A Network may be in the Open
ZoningState if and only if it has no zones.
Endpoint
Each Network contains a sequence of zero or more network endpoints. These endpoints may or
may not also appear in one of the Zones contained by the Network. If an endpoint appears in a
Zone contained by a Network, SPM adds that endpoint to the list of endpoints within the network.
The endpoints in a Network must not appear in any other network, whether managed or
unmanaged.
